Finishing Lab I is designed for the person who has created a few fused glass pieces and is interested in giving them a professional-looking finished edge.

 In Finishing Lab I you will learn how to finish the edge of your square or round fused glass piece to a smooth, professional finish. Using the 18" lap wheel you will use a progression of coarse to fine diamond pads to shape the edge of your glass.  During the slumping cycle, the finely-worked edge of your glass will return to a gloss.

Please bring a piece that you have already fused - from a class, from open studio time, or from home - to finish during this lab.  The piece should be one that is still flat but that you wish to slump into a shape.
