Dichroics I is designed as an introduction to the shiny sparkly (expensive) stuff called dichroic glass. If you are interested in making fused glass jewelry, this class is a must take - however, dichroic glass is so versatile it is also of interest to those wishing to add "bling" to larger fused glass pieces .

In this class we investigate the shiny sparkly stuff called dichroic glass.  You learn where it came from, how it's made, and how you use it in your fused glass projects.  We investigate how to achieve various looks with the same piece of dichroic glass, how the color shifts upon heating, and things to consider before layering different colors of dichroic glass on each other.  During the class, you will have a 10x10 kiln shelf to build your dichroic projects on.  You can choose to fill your kiln shelf with jewelry pieces or little dishes or a combination of both that incorporate dichroic glass
